Popular Food Sport Event Hosts Ultimate Steak Competition
Culinary Fight Club hosts its 2017 The Steak Challenge in six cities, including Chicago on Monday, July 17 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Concord Fifty+Five. In this new summer event, chefs and home cooks will compete to show off their steak cooking skills. Chefs are critiqued on taste and temperature accuracy as they strive to impress the judges. The competition is fierce with a high-energy kitchen environment and time crunch. Chefs will have to plate up the perfect steak with finesse in order to win the judge’s choice for a golden ticket to the World Food Championships and/or taster’s choice for the crowd’s favorite dish. Chefs will cook on sponsored Bull Outdoor Grills throughout the competition.
The pantry is sponsored by Reinhart Foodservice in select markets who provides fresh ingredients that allow the competitors the opportunity to battle for the best dish. In addition, the Mushroom Council will sponsor the competition in select markets to create the best steak dish with mushrooms.
Tickets for the event range are $40 and are available to purchase on Eventbrite.
Guests that attend the event will receive sponsored beverages from select partners in each market. Each ticket helps fund Fight2Feed, a non-profit that aims to feed the hungry.
