River Roast opens in River North

River Roast is one of the newest and most exciting restaurant openings in River North.  The restaurant is located at 315 North LaSalle in the old Fulton’s space.  The patio spans an entire city block overlooking the river and offers some of the most dramatic and exciting city views in the area.  The interior space, redesigned to be lighter and more inviting, is both rustic and welcoming.  You will be amazed by the sheer size of this restaurant.

The main dining room seats 120 (150 for reception) so it’s more of a standard sized room.  But the rest of the spaces continue to add up.  There is a private dining room for 15, the Murdoch Room which seats 330 (450 for reception), room for 300 on the veranda overlooking the river, and upstairs there are two spaces – the Monarch Room seating 230 (250 for reception) and the Reid Bar seating 60 (100 reception).  As you see, this is a place for special occasions as well as a great ‘go to’ restaurant for lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch.

River Roast is the brainchild of James Beard award-winning Chef Tony Mantuano and Executive Chef John Hogan.  They have created a unique blend of contemporary American dishes and craft cocktails that do not duplicate anything else you can find in River North.  This is definitely a restaurant you should check out and soon, before word spreads and it becomes difficult to get a reservation.

Check out their extensive menus and you will see what I mean about unique menu items.  Try out the whole roasted chicken or the crispy fish, carved tableside.  And do not miss out on the crispy potatoes.  Really!  These are the best potatoes I have had in Chicago.

You can reach River Roast at 312-822-0100.  For more information, visit their website.  You can also follow their social media conversations at Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
