From September 22 – 28 Ai Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Lounge (358 W Ontario,
312-335-9888) is celebrating their four year anniversary with a five course
sushi dinner for only $20. The restaurant has the distinction of being one of
the few places in the country that can serve fugu, the blowfish that, if
prepared incorrectly, can be fatal. The certification process is long and
intense, and that just shows how dedicated Chef Toyoji Hemmi is to his art.
In addition to the
special dinner menu that week there will also be a celebration in the lounge on
September 22. This event is also $20 and will include wine tastings, samplings,
live music, birthday cake, and raffle prizes.
