It’s official: Chicago is the U.S. candidate for the 2016 Olympics.
There’s plenty of time before we actually know if the Windy City will host the summer games. The international bid isn’t due until September 15, and the International Olympics Committee doesn’t decide until October, 2009. Since Chicago started back in early 2006, it’s almost a three-year process.
