Last night I went to Seven Day Sonnet’s inaugural show at the Elbo Room. I was thoroughly impressed by their confidence and the tightness of their sound. All five members have been around for awhile and are experienced musicians, and their professionalism came across not just to me, but also to the audience which consisted of several Chicago musicians. And they were just darn good.
They have another show tomorrow at Otto’s in DeKalb, a benefit for the NIU shooting. If you can make it out there, in addition to being one of the first to see a great new band, you’ll also know it’s for a good cause.
