It’s nearly here! Summer, that is. And nothing says “summer” better than an awesome outdoor terrace and even more awesome cocktails. Drumbar has both of the above and much, much more.
Located Drumbar atop the Raffaello Hotel (201 E. Delaware Place), it is one of the most enchanting terraces in the city – 1,500 square feet but still inimate in feel. The bar itself is wonderful, but the real star of the cocktail program is the talented Alex Renshaw. He was recently named one of Zagat’s “30 Under 30” and for excellent reasons. His inventive warm weather cocktails are a summer “must” during your outdoor bar hopping escapades this year.
Among Renshaw’s newest summer concotions are the following:
- Beg Your Pardon (Swizzle) – Jalapeño-infused Green Chartreuse, Novo Fogo Cachaca, lime, pineapple, Luxardo Maraschino, cilantro, served over crushed ice (pictured here)
- Unexpected Vacation – Toasted Coconut-infused Bols Genever, Peanut Orgeat, Pierre Ferrand Orange Curacao, lemon, mint
- Up All Night – Clement Rhum Agricole, St. George Raspberry Brandy, muddled pineapple, Dolin Dry Vermouth, Peychaud’s Bitters
- Call the Dr. – Brugal Extra Dry Rum, Freeze Dried Strawberry-infused Lillet Rose, Manzanilla Sherry, orange and lemon knot (pictured here)
- The Business Lunch – Linie Aquavit Gin, strawberry, onion, white wine vinegar, lemon, arugula
- Hello Neighbor! – Rhine Hall Apple Brandy, Carpano Bianco Vermouth, orgeat, lemon, Apple Slice (pictured here)
