What happens when you put a bunch of type-A tech-savvy social media women in a fancy suite in downtown Chicago and give them lots of cameras and stuff to give away? You, and everyone else, will be able to see for yourselves on March 7, ’cause that’s exactly what’s happening and we’re live-streaming the entire night.
Sleepover 2.0 was the brainchild of one of Chicago’s Type A Queens, Blagica Bottigliero. Founder of Gal’s Guide and the Chicago Tech Report, co-founder of Chic To Be Geek, she’s also a full-time member of Edelman PR. At lunch a couple of months ago with Amy Guth and me, she brought up her crazy idea to have a grown-up sleepover. It’s a desire many women can relate to: you go out with your girlfriends and you begin talking and laughing, and before you know it it’s time to go home. Blagica wanted to keep the conversation going, and since the three of us are “do-ers” a plan quickly came together.
Before we knew it, we had a dynamic group of active and creative women pooling resources, contacts, and enough ideas to keep everyone – both men and women – entertained for the 18 hours we’ll be on camera. We’ll have special guests and giveaways, serious discussions and goofy antics. We’ll have a fashion show and you’ll learn how to make our own signature cocktail. There will also be live chat and viewer participation. Set up your own viewing party and let us know about it so we can give you a shout-out!
You can see the ladies of Sleepover 2.0 on the site. Make sure to bookmark Sleepover20.com, then return March 7 and watch from 4pm to 10am.
