Standard Market Grill Opens In Lincoln Park

Standard Market is a popular grocery store in Westmont, a western suburb of Chicago. Its popularity stems from its high quality artisan, local and craft selections. They put the same care into the cuisine at Bakersfield, their sister restaurant across the street. Now they’re bringing their success to the city.

Standard Market Grill opens today in Lincoln Park. Ingredients will be transported to the restaurant daily from the gourmet grocer, including their scratch-baked bread and meats from their old-world butcher shop. Menu items the 24-Hour Steak Sandwich, topped with Roelli Dunbarton Bleu, buttermilk garlic dressing, varietal mushrooms, balsamic caramelized onions, and arugula on a soft baguette. The Four Farmers salad is tossed with dates, goat cheese, cornbread croutons, campari tomatoes, and champagne vinaigrette, topped with grilled chicken and sprinkled with Marcona almonds. Sure to be a favorite is the Farmer’s Market pizza, made with seasonal oven-roasted vegetables, fresh mozzarella, arugula, and a balsamic gaze. You can even get gluten-free pizzas.

Their bar features sixteen local craft brews as well as more in the bottle. Non-alcoholic drinks include a fruit-infused water bar and iced tea from local Kilogram Tea. The decor is bright and modern, with reclaimed wood, white oak planking. While the restaurant is counter-service, once seated diners will receive the full service expected from a restaurant with food of its caliber.

Standard Market Grill is open for lunch and dinner daily and serves breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. To see their full menu you can visit their website at standardmarketgrill.com.
