Apparently Tuesdays are meant for wine; at least today is.
While 2009 may be generally accepted as best forgotten, Randolph Wine Cellars found some good in it. Tonight they’re offering a tasting of the best of last year. Lest you think it’s going to be a really short evening, they’ve got over 30 wines for you to sample. Maybe 2009 wasn’t so bad after all…
Somehow when wine’s involved you just feel so much more erudite, and tonight you can feel particularly savvy. Learn how to paint while sipping at Bottles & Brushes, or take a lesson in sustainable wines and pair them with chocolates at Eno Versity. Or you could try one of the three “R’s”, and I don’t mean Reading, ‘riting, and ‘rithmetic. I’m talking Zinfandel. Ravenswood, Ridge, and Rosenblum are known as the three “R’s” of the robust red, and tonight the latter will be paired with courses at Wildfire in, where else, River North.
If you’d like an evening that’s a bit less structured, Frasca Pizzeria has half-price glasses of wine, and Dunlays on Clark, Feast and Citizen have half-price bottles of wine. (Find more specials by neighborhood on our Food & Drink Specials page.)
Now get out there and make Bacchus proud!
