Tax cut vetoed

Well, we should have known it was too good to be true. Cook County Board President Stroger vetoed the Cook County Sales Tax reduction that Commissioner Tony Peraica tweeted about last week. However, he thinks they may be able to get the 14 votes needed to overturn the veto. The original vote was 13 for the cut, 3 against, and 1 absent.
