Do you know what rooibos and pu-erh are? They’re not characters in a Rudyard Kipling story. They’re actually tea. Well, technically, rooibos is made from a South African bush, but pu-erh is TEA with a capital T. It’s one of the few that can be aged and can actually be classified, just like wine.
In the U.S. the ancient beverage has been increasing in popularity exponentially in the last few years. If you’d like to go beyond Lipton and your favorite Chinese restaurant’s green tea, Buzz: Killer Espresso is hosting Tea 101. “Veteran tea professional and committed epicure Waleed Al-Shamma of Rishi Tea” will be leading the class on Sunday, April 11. The workshop is only $5 and attendees will receive a 15% discount on tea-related purchases that day.
