Three days packed with good sausage, good music and good beer. Chicago’s Wurst Festival is a culinary celebration of local and sustainable artisan sausage, craft beer and wine, and Chicago music. Local sausage makers who utilize naturally pastured, sustainably raised meat from local farms make the best sausage the old fashioned way. My mouth is salivating thinking about this…in fact, just days ago I happily experienced Bacon Sausage from Big Fork Bacon Sausage for the first time at Riot Fest and I fell in love. I’ve never tasted anything so juicy and flavorful! Those delectable bites are among the huge array of sausage and brats that also include Miller Amish Chicken Sausage, Bison Dogs, Hula Girl Pinnaple Brats. No guarantee the unicorn-man will be there, but I hope so…he was dancing up a storm at Riot Fest!
Free music performances occur each day from Scott Lucas and The Married Men Wednesday, Chicago Afrobeat Project Thursday, Opposition Party and DJ Madrid with Kat V Electric Violist on Friday.
Come hungry to the best sausage fest ever! The Wurst Festival is at Daley Plaza this Wednesday through Friday (September 18-20) from 10am – 8am.
