This Pop-Up Restaurant is a Real “Treat”

Treat Restaurant was a favorite brunch spot in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. To the sadness of many, it closed last April.

They’re about to be very happy. Chef/Owner Tamiz Haiderali sent out an email late late last night announcing a pop-up brunch this weekend! It’s cute and you can feel his excitement, so I’ll let him speak for himself:

“I am so pleased to announce that my team and I are back behind the stove, reviving the Treat brunch favourites at our new digs:

Township
2200 N. California,
in Logan Square.

Some of the Treat specialities (Benedicts, Savory Pancakes, Saag Paneer and other Scrambles) will be served alongside new items by some of the familiar smiling faces that you loved at Treat.

Our coffee is Dark Matter, and (since we are finally of age) we are permitted to serve alcoholic beverages. Yay! A menu of specialty cocktails and selected craft beers will be sure to entice and delight.

We are not completely settled into our new space as yet, so seating is limited and reservations are required.

Also, please bring cash, we are CASH ONLY, we’re working on getting set up for credit cards very soon, meanwhile, we have an ATM on premises for your convenience.

Reserve by calling at 773-384-1865 or email: treatrestaurant@gmail.com

For those of you who don’t already know, I joined forces with my long term friend and music promoter Brian Peterson of MP Productions and purchased this venue formerly Pancho’s. So while here, please walk about and check out our live music venue where we have a full bar. We have big plans of jazz brunches served with a side of various performances, kid’s shows. The potential is huge, the investment is tiny, so baby steps and an organic growth are in our future.

We’ll add full-on lunches and expand our dinner menu in the upcoming weeks.

Can’t wait to see everybody again.
