I remember when Tron came out. As a pre-teen girl who’d already spent hours playing Atari and owned Star Wars action figures I was mesmerized by this ground breaking movie. At the time I didn’t know that it was innovative or what it meant to the future of movie making and CGI; I just knew that it was COOL. Now, 28 years later, the sequel is coming out and I can’t wait to see what almost three decades of technological advances will look like on screen. It’s opening this Friday at theaters everywhere, but the place to really see it is at Navy Pier’s IMAX 3D theater. There are still a few seats left for the midnight showing on Thursday but they’re available for the rest of the weekend.
This Tron Really Is Larger Than Life
