Vinyl Delights and More at the 14th Annual CHIRP Record Fair

Music collectors take note: the CHIRP Record Fair returns for its 14th year. On April 9th Plumbers Hall, 1340 W Washington, will be filled with vinyl, CDs, DVDs, posters, and, most importantly, music lovers of all stripes. Browse through bins of thousands of recordings and partake in “other delights,” including:

  • Guest DJs (Impulsive Hearts, Matthew McCarry of 1980 Records and Bossa IV, Herb Rosen of Rights of the Accused/Liar’s Club and many more TBA)
  • The Vinyl Spa to get your new purchases cleaned and pampered
  • 3-D Printing demo by South Side Hacker Space (printing 45 inserts)
  • Workshops by Zine Fest, 826CHI, and the Chicago Public Library
  • Decorate your own album cover area for kids of all ages
  • Glitter Guts photo booth
  • More Delights TBA…

Food will be for sale from Moxee, coffee from Dark Matter, and beer from New Belgium, Lagunitas, Great Lakes Brewing, and Mad Mouse Brewery. West Town Bikes will provide bike valet service.

For the best pick of the bins get an early admission ticket for $25. You’ll be the first to browse between 8am and 10am and you can leave and come back throughout the day. General admission is $7 with doors opening at 10am and no reentry is allowed.
