The 9th Annual Two Brothers Summer Festival took place over the weekend at RiverEdge Park in Aurora and it was a “brewtiful” affair.
This craft beer and music event was hosted by Two Brothers Brewing Company. It was the perfect place for beer lovers and music enthusiasts to enjoy great brews, awesome tunes, good camaraderie, and scenic views along the Fox River.
It featured the annual release of Two Brothers Hop Centric Double IPA and the Two Brothers Special Projects Division rare beer tent was fabulous. I got to taste several of their beers including their Twenty-Plus Pilsner Lager and Pinball Juicy Hop Pale Ale, to name a few.
On top of the thirst-quenching beer, they had an excellent musical lineup. Friday night, the bands Saint Motel, Blind Pilot and Savior Adore rocked the stage. The next day, the X Ambassadors, Knox Hamilton, The Way Down Wanderers and Future Stuff entertained the masses. I attended the festival on Saturday and had the pleasure of photographing several of the bands. You can view my photos below.
All the bands I saw were top-notch and totally entertaining. Before the X Ambassadors took to the stage, the founders, and two brothers, Jim and Jason Ebel introduced the band.
Two Brothers Brewing Company’s overall goal of this festival was to raise money for local charities. The two charities that benefited from the festival this year were Make-A-Wish Illinois and Giant Steps. They won’t know exactly how much money was raise for a few more weeks, but I can assure you that these two charities will be quite pleased as there were thousands of people in attendance and lots of money being raised.
