Join us as we sail into summer at Weather Mark Tavern. This South Loop neighborhood bar is a destination that captures the spirit of sailing and the glory of Chicago’s magnificent lakefront. More importantly, they feature craft beers, great food, and an impressive list of over 50 house and specialty rums.
At our Chef’s Table Event we’ll get to tour their galley menu, sampling several items that highlight their playful and upscale cuisine. They’ll also delight us with a carefully curated selection of drinks from their extensive list.
Here’s what we’ll be enjoying:
Starters
Mini Pigs in a Blanket- bite size cuts of Wild Boar and Venison Sausages, wrapped in puff pastry and baked till golden brown. Served with Whole Grain Mustard for Dipping.
Pairing: Founder’s All Day IPABacon Wrapped Potatoes- Yukon Gold Potatoes roasted with our homemade Garlic Oregano Salt, then surrounded by Applewood Smoked Bacon and baked to crispy perfection. Served with a Sour Cream and Chive Dipping Sauce.
Pairing: 3 Floyd’s Zombie DustMain Course
Blackened Tuna on Toast Points– Our perrennial favorite. Seared Ahi Tuna sliced thin and served on Chipotle Toast with Lime Creme.
Pairing: Bell’s OberonRib Bones- Our Homemade Braised Ribs will fall right off the bone for you and the House BBQ Sauce is finger licking good.
Pairing: Goose Island MatildaDessert
Homemade Apple Crumble– A family favorite. Graham Cracker Crust supports a bitter sweet Apple Filling, which is topped with a decadent yellow cake topping. Seconds are expected!
