How’s that for a convoluted title? Let me break it down for you:
Linda Yu, of ABC7, won the “Wake Up Little Sushi” contest at RA Sushi!
See, I’m not entirely crazy!
The broadcaster’s original “Butterfly Roll” was chosen to win this celebrity contest. Windy City Live’s Val Warner and WCIU’s Jeanne Sparrow and Melissa Forman also competed. Yu’s roll is yellowtail, cucumber, and avocado rolled in rice and seaweed and then topped with red and green tempura bits with wasabi mayo antennas. What this means for you is that it will be available at RA Sushi from November 1 through 15. Proceeds from the sale of the $12 roll will benefit Yu’s selected Charity, the Chinese American Service League.
